Need some STEAL-PROOF ADVISE!

i think the best thing is to add speakerrs for alarm, make it freakin' loud in 1khz or higher:D, and I mean FREAKIN loud. would take lot of work but this is the only thing i can see that could really make a thief go away..., or get a doberman and leave it in the car:D , replace screws and all that only makes the theif stay a bit longer stealing ur stuff or destroy it... which I think its even more annoying,

get an alarm, with alot of piezo sirens in the cabin AND trunk area, as well as a few on the outside. they'll be running like the lil shits they are while their ears are bleeding.
shyt, beat me to it..

x2, piezos FTW

If you disable your lock in the back of your car, or just put like a steel cable through the latch so it won't open, how could they even get to it? Actually pry your trunk off? I'm planning on putting a system into an Astrovan I'm planning to purchase. I was just thinking if I just put a steel cable through the rear door mechanism and with a 10cuft box there'd be no way to get it out no matter what. If I used the hex and torx bolts to hold the sub in they probably wouldn't be able to get it out, and I was even planning on Ace Laminating my windows. Do you think that'd be reasonably safe? I was also thinking of painting the outside of my box like a refridgerator box //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif -> This Side Up Fragile Amana

i have heard of using differnt screw types so they are a bastard to get out of there use really odd bits that you dont commonly have the drill bits to take out i guess

had a friend do that and silicone the holes in the mouting gasket after having his rockford stolen and a old surf board alpine amp from the 90's

You should plate your sub box with steel and run a spare battery in the trunk that will electrocute those MF'ers!

But, if you have a remote trunk release you should just disconnect the trunk pop in the cars' cabin and call it a day. Only way to open it other than the key is a crowbar.

Crowbars cost like $15 and sold at most local hardware stores //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

12V would only somewhat hurt if you could get the would-be theif to lick the box.

just build in your trunk....? kenny's box sure as hell aint stealable LOL
use allen head screws, hex head screws, phillip screws and a couple t-lok bolts and there aint a **** way to get that sub out.
Great idea and all, but then they just will steal the whole dam car. I thought that was my best way to steer away theives. Just build the box in the car, so I did and the biotches stole my whole dam car and took it to a chop shop.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I live in pretty good neighborhood so I don't worry too much but I would definately call your insurance and have them cover your system. They covered mine for under $10 a month extra. In addition, my amps and subs are in the trunk so they cannot be seen. I also aimed to keep the interior as stock looking as possible when mounting tweeters, speakers, etc. Oh yeah...don't forget limo tint.
