Need some speakers

Okay so I have a 87 Chevy caprice and its just my project car I hardly drive but when I do its MAD boring cause the stock radio is only AM and the only station I get is the Disney station lol.

My unlce says he has a head unit outta his old car I might take, so I need some good speakers

I just need some 6X9...what brand you guys think I should go with....I dont really like listening to speakers at the store cause they just never sound right to me, so I need some help on which 6X9 to go with.

Money is not really an issue so I'm pretty flexible with price, I don't wanna pay too much though cause once I get the Interior done I'm going out with a complete system. I just need something to hold me over till them

The head unit I was going to get from my unlce is scratched outta my plans... I guess I'm going to go buy a new one.

 

Head unit: around $200

 

Speakers: About $150

Ill recommend the Pioneer deh-5900ib HU but u cant go wrong with an Alpine or Eclipse deck, even Kenwood makes solid HUs

I dont really mess with Ipods but I was thinking of getting a deck where I can use an Ipod, and that has a detachable face.
