Need some nice, crisp speakers.

How the hell did I miss this funny thread. Haha...... I live in AB, Canada. I have never heard of Steve Miller........//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif However, I have heard of Pyramid, they sound like ****in shit. When I was poor at one time I did buy 2 Pyramid Subs, 10s, I was powering them with a JBL 80.2, and the coil were shot with the gains 1/4 up. It was the biggest joke there ever was. I don't knon where you are from in Alberta, but I am from Lethbridge. You ever heard of Stay Tuned Installations and Bob Beaton? His Nissan Frontier with 8 18CW Strokers.......//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I know I will be thrown in to the flames for this but the Pioneer speakers that I bought from Walmart when I just needed something back there sounded like crap no mater what. Much worst than any Pyramid I've ever heard. Just goes to show you can do some stupid stuff as a drunk college student whose beer budget is bigger than the one for his car audio. Well I've been through a few AA meetings and sum rehave and think the bargain system I have now would kick a lot iof much costly systems butts. Notice no Pyramid or any thing else sold at the flea market or Walmart.

i bet you spent more on your system than i did mine and mine pressure's louder. i know those us acoustics are very good amps just be very careful with them and those perfects they blow easily.

I have no problem with my Kappa's for the guy that started this post even turned all the way up with the nearly 150 watts going to them they sound destortion free and that's in factory locations with out a custom enclosure.

If you aren't set on getting components and won't have anything else, Memphis makes some really nice coaxials. The ST60's. They sound just as good as many component sets. And http://www.woofersetc.com has them for $107. Good luck.

*EDIT*

That link is not working for some reason, and I know that is the right web address. Maybe they're available somewhere else for that good of a price, but I don't know where else to get them, sorry.

Who mentioned anything about the speakers attached to your sound card.
I'm talking the little 2" speaker inside the case that beeps when you screw up

I mentioned the 600watts because that is what they handle.

I was guessing that someone looking at speakers would take wattage into account, because I do.

Yes High wattage means nothing, but if you buy high wattage speakers, you need high wattage amps to run them.

If I just said go buy these speakers. and buddy hooked them to his deck, yeah they will sound like crap because he'd be supplying about 20 watts each.

Have you physically seen these subs handle 600 watts? AND IF!!! you have...there is NO WAY it sounded good
