I am going to stop arguing this.

in closing I'd like to say:

Even the most pathetic, worst designed speaker can be made to soud good with the proper install.

My opinions are based on personal experience, common knowledge, and what I learn from places such as this.

Saying my opinions are biased are like the kettle callig the pot black. Everyones opinions are biased. If asked which was better, RF or PG, each of you would have a different answer and reasoning.

I have and will admit that Pyramid is not the best brand on the market, no where near. But there are plenty of brands that are worse.

INstallation is 90% of a system set-up. Even RF will sound like crap if not installed properly. And the demo set-ups at shops that they have on the boards sound like crap period, regardless of they put in there.

When I did my shoppig I compared price, clarity, $/Watt, and what I was looking at finishing my stereo with. It turned out that at the time the pyramid 6X9's were the best choice for a temp replacement to the stock 6X9's, which were blown when I bought the car FYI

1) RF DOES sound like crap...

2) sound boards will never sound the way the speakers will in car, due to the different sahpes of the room the board is in and the acoustics of the car versus those of teh room

CA&E....... Oh yeah the company that gets PAID by the people they do reviews for and such? LOL I can honestly say I do not think I have ever seen a BAD review come from them. Why? Because they like getting paid for their advertising space and get a lil extra for mentioning other shit. But then again.........you are prime reason for this shit. because you like millions of other idiots beleive EVERYTHING you hear or see.

Actually I was not proven wrong. Just no one could come up with anything new to argue so I figured we had reached a stale-mate.

No-one could sghow me how my pyramids, in my custom enclosure couldn't possibly sound good.

I willnot use factory speaker locations unless i absolutely have to. The factory location are there just so that the Manufacturer of the vehicle could easily have a machine install the speakers.

Mids and highs in a custom enclosure??? When the **** did that EVER make a difference? Oh yeah..... NEVER!!! Sorry bout your luck, but your just full of bull shit and only have a rep from your friends because they beleive in your bull shit. Blind leading the blind..... One more thing....... RF is known for being a piece of shit. YEah they hold records now after the recent finals, but ONLY in SPL

Anyone here from AB, CANADA? If you are you should have heard of STEVE MILLER. He has only ranked in the top 3 in Alberta for SPL 5 years runnig. Guess what, I helped with that system. I guess everyone in Alberta is being lead by the blind. Even the GURU's at MTX, which happens to have an office in calgary.

Oh well, I guess, in the end, The blind come out near the top

Because you have heard of someone does not mean you helped with it. And over at MTX??? I would be happy to make a few calls and see how often they get advice from some schmuck named Steven in BFE canada.

I didn't say I they ask me for advice. I just said they have an office in calgary.

And I DID help Steve Miller with his system. Plain and simple, I've known him most of my life.

When he decided to try and compete with car audio, he had the $$$ and I had the knowledge. Together we built a system that outperformed 100's of others.

casue as far as i know, most of the provinces top scores have come with Beyond Audio Equipment.....

also, who ever said taht Clarion ahd good sounding speakers?

I know I did not... they sound very poor... at elast in my opinion.... comapred with what else is available for the rpice...

the only thing I like fromClarion are their HU and Multimedia sources....

i will put it to steven this way. i read CA&E and have a subscription for a simple reason to read about the cars they put in there not the reviews. i mean come on they said that the PG titanium elite is one of the best subwoofer's they have ever tested and yeah they are good but an IDMAX sounds better. and if you wanna compare your budget system take a look at my thread nothing on there is expensive for what i paid and i promise i outhit you but at leat 6-10db with a single 15" and that is just throwing it in. oh not to mention you ever heard of Canton?? or for that matter has anyone ever heard canton speakers i'm really curious about that??

sry to inform you steven but the person who makes that horrible legacy also makes pyramiad, they might handle 600 watts but thats 600 pyramaid watts (about 125 rms if that),.pyramaid sux its crap,.......sry but some speakers just cant sound good, if i went in my garage and made a speaker i dont care if you use mcintosh amps there still not going to sound good.
