need some ideas (building stuff)

i am moving into a house next year at school and its completely unfurnished. In the upcoming weeks i need to start building some stuff for my bedroom.

I need to build an entertainment center / desk as well as a bed frame and maybe a dresser sort of thing....cool factor is a must and ill work my room around whatever i build....

Entertainment Center.....the main component here is a 42" flat screen, an xbox 360 as well as two small speakers that i use ( about 6" x 6" by 6")

i thought that perhaps i could make a entertainment center / desk but right now i hook my laptop up to my TV and use a wireless keyboard....i thought about making it an L shape, with the TV on one side, laptop / desk on the other...

bed frame is pretty self explanatory

so does anyone have any links or cool ideas they wanna throw out?

If you plan on using your desk alot, build a big one. I did a fairly large corner desk for my house, and I love it. Plenty of room to really scatter everything out while your working. Ill get you a pic of mine here in a minute.

2 milk crates and a chunk of ply gets you a table

4 milk crates and 4 pillows with a blanket gets you a couch

reminds me of that old papa johns comercial that took place at some college dorm. some kids parents were visiting and he was showing them around in the living room they had couches made of pizza boxes.

sweet yeah when you get picks of that fish lemme see the corner desk i was thinking of doing a L shaped desk in the corner...half as like a TV entertainment center the other part of the L being like a desk i can do my work on....
