Alright so i bought 4 leds from the local auto parts store and a toggle switch. each led has a black wire and a black and white wire. the toggle has two prongs one under the on position and one under the off position. how exactly would i wire each led to the toggle switch? i am going to hook it up to my battery i have a fuse in the wire too for connecting it to the battery. they are 12v leds...any help is appreciated

Normally, the longer leg on an LED is the positive one. Just test it out first, and then, if it doesn't work, switch it.

But I think it'd be safe to wire them in series.

here is what i did so far...i have a 16 guage wire hooked up to the positive battery terminal with a fuse in the wire about 6 inches away from the battery then i ran it into my car and hooked it up to the on spot on the toggle then i took the black and white wire from the led and hooked it up to the on spot on the toggle and then grounded the other wire on the led just to see if it would work and it didnt any suggestions or did i do it wrong
