Need some help with brands, sizes, amps,bands, watts??

ok ive got a 01 f-350 that i want to put a nice stereo in. ive done some looking and from what i can tell i want a alpine head, JL subs (2), and speakers, JL amps and i guess i need a capacitor? well id like to keep it under about 700 and id like to start picking items up on ebay so what specific types and what not do i need to be looking for? i mean how many amps do i need? bands? so i need a "parts" list of what to be looking for. i know this is a super noob question, sorry:hide:

The stock door speakers are 5x7 or 6x8 (they are the same size), for your budget I would reccomend coaxials running off the h/u. For subs I had 3 jl10w0's, good with low power and accurate, plenty loud as well if you're not looking for extreme spl, and a shallow mounting depth as well. You will probably need to build a box if you want the best sound, though there are a few out there, depending on what cab you have. For a subwoofer amp you need to choose the subs first, and match their ohm ratings to those on the amp. You will only need one amp, probably a 1 or 2 channel around 600-800w, depending on how you want to wire the subs, and you don't need a capacitor. For a h/u you don't need anything special, one set of pre-outs is enough, just make sure you get one with a subwoofer contol (rather than just bass/mids/treble), as it can be annoying with subs. Most lower end pioneers have it, while the lower end kenwoods do not. Send me a pm if you have any questions, my truck is the same as yours and I'll be happy to help if I can.
