hello guys great site

recently i blew my infinity perfect 10 svc. its a long story. anyways i started looking for another perfect 10 online. i found a sit that had them at a nice price. while i was shopping i noticed that a dvc perfect was only 2$ more. i ask my roommate if the dvc would work with my settup and he said no problem. well lets just say im not listening to him anymore.

my amp is a 2-channel mtx thunder 2150x 350-400 watts rms. in another thread someone told me i ordered the wrong sub and that its not gonna work with my amp.

naturally theres is only a return policy for defective merchandise at the place i ordered the sub from.

so i was wondering if i had 2 infinity perfect 10.1 dvc subs would my amp be enough to push 2 of these subs wired for a 4 ohm load??

i could upgrade the amp in the future.

i guess my only other option is to buy a new amp. the problem with that is ive only got about $160.00 i could get another 10.1d shipped here for $121 but i know a good amp is gonna be like $350 at the very least.

oh yea i was reading crutchfiels user reviews for this sub and there was a guy that said he hooked one vc up at a 4 ohm load. is this a good idea? i would assume not.

anyways im gonna call the merchant and see if i can exchange it but i seriously doubt i will be able to. ive got some terrible luck lately.

thanks in advance.

Nope. Not really. It would "work" temporarily......but an amp upgrade would definitely be needed at some point to reach the full potential of the subwoofers.

NO

i cant find the manual for my amp online. is that info on the back of the amp? the sub is an infinity perfect 10.1d 2 4 ohm voice coiles.

thanks for the replies. im leaning to just get another 10.1d and build a sealed enclosure.

i was wondering if i upgraded my amp in the near future how many watts rms would you recomend? would i need to get a 2 channel amp? what would you guys reccomend without spending an arm and a leg? im not trying to get into comps or anything just looking for good sound.

also is there anyway i can hurt 2 10" subs being powered by 350-400 rms (underpowered)?

or is it just gonna sound a little underpowered?

once again thinks for the help guys

Since you are underpowering them for the time being, I'd probably go for a ported enclosure instead (if you can fit it). It'll make better use of the power you are giving them.

Depends on your budget

Well, as long as you don't crank the gain or the bass boost and clip the amp; No, you can not damage the subs by underpowering them.

good news guys. i called the shop today and there gonna send me the svc 10". im very relieved and very lucky.

keep up with the great site.

you will see me around.

and thanks for the replies.

i ran 3 infinity perfect 10.1 for a while, man i misss that SQ for so cheap //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

had them on a lanzar vibe 1200d, rockford 601s (abused that), audiobahn a1300hct (pos), memphis 1000D (highly recommended). memphis sounded the best of those. the infinity perfects are great at gieing SQ so if u find an amp with low THD you WILL notice a differance ifyou upgrade. I'd say get urself am emphis 1000D used off ebay and just set ur gains right
