JL Audio Amp

My brother has one of the new JL Audio amps. He says that it is not turning off when he turns the car off. I asked him about putting a switch on the remote wire and he said that it would not work because of the new auto sensing technology on these amps. Can anyone provide a link or any information as to how these amps work and what needs to be done to have it shut off? Any help would be appreciated!

take it back to where you got it from....... sounds like power supply issue or something dealing w/remote signal.... best thing to do w/this amp is to send it back rather than making switches and shyt........

Does anyone know what these JL amps use to shut off? Is it the remote wire like most other amps?

yes all jl amps use remote lead turn on/off. are you sure hes got it wired to his head unit. or is it wired toa 12 v?

Thanks for the info. I will check out if the remote wire is wired to a constant 12v lead.

Make sure the remote wire is switched and also make sure the input signal sensing switch is off if your using a remote wire
