Need some box recommendations please :-/

Hey guys,

New to the forum. I just picked up two 12" Alpine Type R's (SWR-1242D):

I also got a HiFonics, 1000w amp to power them:

Can anyone confirm for me this setup is compatable? Should be almost perfect, assuming the amp does its job, right? The amp is "500x1 @ 2 ohm", so it would match up to power each 500w RMS sub?

Now, I need to find a box. What is the general opinion of the Q-logic boxes on the forum? I'm looking at one of the sealed/vented boxes (you can switch), like this:

Will this be a good box for my subs? It seems as though it would be nice, since I'm not 100% sure whether I want to go sealed or ported, but I am leaning towards ported. I listen mostly to rap/rock. I do have a friend working at BestBuy who said he can get me a discount.
