k, i installed my grandparents antenna yesturday cause there one broke.. so i get it in, and the connection looks different than usual, BUT one little end plugged in, so i tried it and the FM worked great, so i go along and finish the install.. so today, my grandma tells me the AM isnt workin.. (who the hell listens to AM anyway, lol) but is there some kinda adapter that will make this work..
I don't think most decks use an external AM antanae. If they don't, they would likely share it with the FM antanae. FM and AM signals work differently though, so I don't think they would use the same antanae.
The other thing I've noticed is you sometimes have to manually tune AM because the signal isn't strong enough to use the seek buttons in many cases.
