Need Some Advice

Alright so here is my dilemma... I received a $200 gift card to SonicElectronix for my birthday. I currently badly need to replace the stock speakers in my doors, but I don’t really want to invest that much in them, because the car just really isn’t worth it. I also really would like to replace my head unit, currently I have an older Sony Xplod that came with the car that I’ve tolerated up to this point, but I would like to get something with iPod/USB connectivity, decent EQ, etc.

So far I’ve been looking at expanding the budget slightly, so I could get something like the Kenwood KIV-701 and a pair of Alpine Type-E 6.5’s.

Mainly I’m looking for something to tide me over till I get out of college and actually afford the cars, which currently, I daydream about someday owning.

Ps. I saw a JVC KD-X80BT which was similar to the Kenwood in regards to rear usb, Bluetooth, and lack of a CD player (which in turn leaves my car less cluttered.)

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

The specs on the precision powers recommend 130 watts rms per side, I am planning on running the 6.5's off of the head unit for the forseeable future. Any recommend the polk db651's?

My little brother has those PPI speakers and they sound fantastic to me,for the money,Yet, Infinity sound great, as well as JBLs.I did put a set of real Budget speakers in a coworkers truck and sounded great with an old school Alpine duo-b 3525 amp,and were surprisingly clean and loud,even off the hu i was impressed..Hifonics Zuess 6.5 components

I don't particularly care for the Kappa's metal tweeter, its a little harsh for my liking. Also, I'd really rather stay with coax's because of convience of install. I don't intentionally keep trying to be obstinate, truly, lol.
