need some 2ohm 6.5 mids help!

hey guys i need some 2ohm mids to replace a blown mb quart.

also what ohm would it be if i replaced my 4ohm mids with the 2ohms.

i want 2ohm mids to get a little more power from my amp.

they will get about 115 for each side.

It won't be any louder to get 2 ohm components. Usually speakers with a lower Re have lower efficiency ratings in turn are just as loud as the 4ohm components but now you have to use more power to get them there.

My choice would be a high efficiency 4ohm driver.

I wouldn't switch impedances around when working with components. A 2 ohm mid with the tweeter, then of course the crossover you will end up with some finky impedance loads at the amp which could potentially be dangerous.

If you change the impedance load to half, your passive crossover will drop to...half!

You don't wanna do that.

I have a set of old school Image Dynamics 6.5's that are 2 ohm s ...not sure if the newer ones are or not

ID makes them in both 2 and 4 ohm.

You can't just swap out drivers of different impedance on a passive crossover. The result is a messed up crossover point and a staggered slope.
