So I am considering running a sealed 15" and have been looking at several subs. This is for a sealed system powered with 300-500 watts. I have been looking at several subs and running the number through WinISD and it looks like the old IDQ15 might be a good choice. I love the effieciency of the driver. Also, the Dayton Audio Reference HO and the elemental Designs 16Ov.2 will work for a nice SQ sealed setup.

Did I miss any?

I was looking at Fi but they need a much larger enclosure. What is up with their subs? Seems there are several in the for sale section?

nothin wrong with Fi subs great SQL subs. I say go with a dayton HF, it will play better in a sealed box. Goes much lower than an HO. I modeled it in bassbox

Thanks for responding...

Yeah, WinISD showed the HF to have more low end output than the HO but the sub needs a 5.21 cu ft box for a Qtc. of .7 The HO needs only a 1.7 cu ft box and the Titanic needs a 3.2 cu ft box.

No way would I run the HF...I don't have than much space nor would I run that sub in a too small enclosure. Even though that sub has 4-5 dB more output in WinISD at 20-40 Hz I am not willing to deal with the large enclosure tradeoff. I will play with the cars transfer function to get some good low end.

This is for a SQ system...I am looking for natural sounding bass. I have always run a single 12" but my current car is a large sedan that has a fairly sealed trunk (300M)so I need a sub with more impact.

If I don't like the single sub in the rear set-up I am considering two 12" IB subs playing into the seats or two 10" or four 8" IB subs on the rear deck. Don't know yet???

The dayton is probabaly the best engineered driver of the bunch. I'd go with it personally.
