Need recomendation. New hu or digital eq?

What would b a better choice, replacing my jvc kd ar 880 with a eclipse 5030 or keeping my jvc and adding a single din digital eq?

what's wrong with the ar880's sound? I had one and it sounded fine. what amps you running? maybe you just need amps on your speakers (or better amps on them than you have)

I doubt it is my amp. I have a McIntosh on my type r comps. The sub is a custom teampsi 18 in a 6 cu ft box with a 8 inch port at around 35 htz. The sub amp is a mb quart pab 1200 I just want more options for eq and was thinking of either the eclipse 7200 or the 5030 but if a single din digital eq is a better option I wanna go with that. I just have no idea. So any imput is much apriciated

if you want 16 bands of eq for the left and 16 bands of eq for the right channel get a 880 or 800 pioneer
