Need really punchy midbass

Until I can convince my wife that we need to give up trunk space in our '94 Integra to accommodate a subwoofer, I'm stuck with using 6.5s. Right now I have Pioneer TS-A1667 (fronts) and 1655s (rear), but I want components for the front, and I'd move the 1667s to the rear deck for a six-speaker (eight if you count the tweeters) set-up. All of this will be powered by a Pioneer Premier GM-X644 amp, which is on the way, and hooked up to a Sony CDX-MP30 HU.

Because I won't have a sub for a while, I want components with some decent punch and kick to them...I'm looking at Infinity 60.5cs, Pioneer TS-C1653, Rockford FNX2614U, and Kicker K6.2 and Resolution RS6c.

My question is: which one of those would pack the most wallop? Thanks!!!

I only have the 5.25's...but i am very impressed with them. Im sending them 85w rms.

iF you want punchy bass then i would get the koda midbass component set. i have heard only good comments on it. Also the polk mm6 (or what ever size you have in your car) is also an excellent sounding midbass. I have never heard the kodas but the polk momo are excellent.

i concur i'd suggest getting the koda mid bass(160/pair) and the koda componet set(349.00)......should be very impressive......

I would highly recommend the pioneer TS-C160R. I recently purchased them and have been really impressed by it. In the past, Pioneer had not developed the greatest speakers, but this new model is really nice...... check it out.

For a pretty stupid reason, I admit: want this new purchase to be as unnoticeable as possible for my wife...so she won't know - or be reminded of, if she ever finds out - of my foolish expenditures on car audio... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

As for the Kodas, sounds good, except those components might be out of my budget. Thinking as close as possible to $150...

well...i'll be honest....im in the same boat as you....only thing is my wife knows about my componets....jus doesnt know about my amp...thinks a friend gave it to me.......yea...the kodas are awesome from what i have heard......but i cant afford them yet either......u might try going to like best buy or circuit city and listne to as many diff sets as possible and find out what sound best to u.....then get back to us and we'll see what we can come up w/ on prices......
