most likely clipping. trying to get more from the amp than it could give.but i blew my 1 kicker l7 15 at 4 ohms??? y's that?
real easy....leave the knob in the box.....tun the gains down and don't turn the volume all the way down. Theres alot more to the gain thing, but i don't think you are ready for that yetso how should i set the amp up for this sub not all the way up? or what should the nobs be around, i am a noob at setting amps.
honestly i'd just set the gain about half and the bass boost off. leave it like that until you can get an amp that will properly power the subs. do alot of reading and searching on here in the mean time. once you scrounge through the bullshit that most of the nothing knowing asshats on here post you should have a bit more knowledge on the subject to make an informed decision on your purchase of a new amp.so how should i set the amp up for this sub not all the way up? or what should the nobs be around, i am a noob at setting amps.
is it a dual voice coil sub or a single voice coil sub? if it's a single you just hook + to + and - to - and you have a 2 ohm load. if it's dual 2 you can either get a 4 ohm load or a 1 ohm load.i want a 2 ohm load since its a 2 ohm sub correct?
