Need peoples opinions fast!! 1987 CRX

Thank you!! I mean the CRX is like buying a older fox body mustang, fixing it up, making it better than it orginally was, its just i want something economical, im not made out of money, i do well, but not rich, and i have owned more sports cars already being 20, then most people will own sedans in there life time!! Its time to do something different, not a ricer lover, but something different!!
vehicles to me are fun old or new....if I get one I'm gonna do something with it....stock sux...lol

You ought to buy my Explorer XLT....It looks good ....it would make a nice SPL vehicle...I'd throw in a few goodies with it also...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
How much? PM me if you're serious about selling it. A teammate of mine uses an Explorer, and he's doing 154.4 outlaw with one sub and 3kw...

I like CRX's...and I have one I also have a Buick Grand National...an 06 Saleen Mustang...a Porsche Targa....a nice 07 Focus ST...an 06 Tacoma Quad Cab...an 01 Bagged Blazer Extreme and several others....I find the CRX as much fun to drive as any of them....If you don't like cars or car audio WTF are you doing on this site?
Did I say I don't like cars or audio? I just would never invest thousands into a car I payed $500 for... waste imo.

The pre 88 Crx's are not worth the time. The 88-91 ones are amazing, I have an 88 Si Turbo myself, fully built d16a6 block with forged rods pistons etc, fully worked head with crane turbo cam, oversize valves, ported over gasket n benchd, 5 angle etc, and maited to a big fat snail ball bearing .70 c/h turbo, 3.5" open downpipe, equal length manifold, etd traction bars, bfg drag radials. Just fast as ****ing shit and honestly the MOST fun Ive ever had driving a car, just made it fun to drive and fly around, nothing in my rural town had anything close, a few guys were boosted like 7-9 psi, I was boosting 15+ for 2 seasons, the car just flew, but could still stop easy with the oversized breaks and just the fact that there little tiny boxes, weigh nothing.

Hands down, this is a good deal on an 87, but the 87's and pre are shit, no aftermarket, alot of things that STOP you from making it fast ie brake cylinder MASSIVE size, carb'd so youd have to swap to efi, that sucks.

Buy a 88-91, or a 92-95 eg, most fun youll ever have if you buy quality parts and do it right the first time.

Watch out for the cops.

If your just looking for a commuter I would get it, if it runs (minus the rad) I would say its worth it (compression test it, no need to buy a money pit).

Now if your going to be spending some money on it (engine swap etc) making it into something special I would get the exact year you want.
