Need opnions on kicker L7 and solox

I just purchased a orion 2500d amp. Ive been debating on getting 2 12'' L7 or just 1 12'' solox. It would be nice to have the a single solox, but i heard the sound quality is horrible. I heard they are only competition subs. Whats the reason behind that. I am just trying to get some opnions so i can make an educated decision.

i haven't heard a solo x but i have heard two l7 15" and i couldn't hear very well for the next couple of days but the sound i did hear before my cousin made me def was very clear but he had an eclipse with dynamatt and a whole bunch of other stuff to improve the sound and loudness.

The 12" solos might not take that power daily very well. I would say you do the two 15's and it'll blow you away. They can be made to sound decent, in the right box.

the solo x will take the power daily no problem. im running a 2500.1 to mine and its just fine. i use it for daily and local comps. i believe polecat is running a solo x daily as well with a little more power than mine(if i remember correctly).

as far as sound quality, i think mine sounds pretty decent.

My bud has 2 L7's, and to both of us mine sounds a bit louder.... but its ALL install.

I still shake my head in amazement when people say they don't have SQ...I bet 90% of them never have even used them, just spread what they have heard, which is a tidal wave when it's all said and done.....

lol i agree there lol every bad sounding solobaric i ever heard that i had a chance to inspect had been A. mounted poorly (bad air leak around the sub) B. was in the smallest box C. not even crossed over lolol. if i ever switch woofers in my truck ill go with a L5 10 or something like that just to shut people up lol (maybe 2 8's)
