Ok...it'll be ordered at latest friday but I need some last bits of assistance. The Sub will be the infamous TangBand 8 powered by a Dayton 240W plate amp both from parts express; that part is set in stone. Just as an FYI, it'll be used as a not-too-small home theatre, and computer games/music. I used WinISD and saw that it recommended a ported box but when I noticed the port dimensions...it was a diameter of around 4" and a length of about 5 feet, did i miss something? Would someone reading this be kind enough to design one or at least give me some help using WinISD so I at least know what I'm looking at? Any help/suggestions/comments would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I know i wrote "not-too-small" but i probably should have clarified... I'm using this and 2 Sony 5 1/4 Bookshelves for Computer gaming/music primarily and TV if i can find a cheap 20' RCA, so its not really a "theatre"...I saw your setup lemans and mines just a tad bigger, think this would perform?

well if ya want to talk size...the dormroom is probably a 20'x10' and half is mine so a 10'x10'...

edit:Just got off the phone with Parts Express, heres what they recommended ~.6 cu.Ft. vented; Port would be a 3" Diameter tube 10" long...i forgot the dam tuning; and he also said to dump the 240W and go with the 100W plate amp....final thoughts?

Even so, I'd like to spend as little as possible and $100 for the TB 8 and a 100W plate is appetising. I really dont want to change that. I just need an a**load of help designing or drawing out this box. The PE guy said a 3" diameter port with a length of 10" and also said it needs to be 3 inches from the side and end 3 inches from the back. Someone wanna design this biatch for me and save me the headache? $$$$

So i downloaded WinISD just to get a look-see for myself and it recommended, on a certain alignment, a .747cu.ft. box with a round 4.02"x59" port! Just to move some numbers around, I typed in smaller diameter ports and the length decreased. I typed in 1.375" diameter and got 6.26" length...is this still the same tuning or what? With the "stove pipe port" it was tuned to ~27Hz...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/help.gif.cee8f684da1ba626487a8bc51152e1ec.gif
