need opinions

First of all dont laugh at my dumb questions, I'm new to the whole car audio scene. But i want to come out this summer with a killer stereo and I need a few opinions on subs, I wanna run an all kenwood audio system. What have you heard about the KFC-XW1225dB 12" sub?? is it any good?? if so I want to run 2 of them and i need to find an amp to power them, preferably Kenwood. I want to be hitting some very High db's. I know theres way better subs and amps out there but i have a budget of sorts. I need as much Bass as i can get. If you can give me some pointers in the direction of some better subz and amps by all means let me know. thnx for any help.

By no means am I trying to say Kenwood is not reliable, but you are not going to be hitting high dbs with an all Kenwood system. Tell me your price range, and I will be glad to think something up, and so would all the other guys here.

well i was thinking about $5000 roughly for audio give or take a little. i want like at least 150 db's if possible on a budget like that.

5000???!!! Easy, with the help of Ebay, that is.

Here is a killer setup: 2 15 inch MMATS Juggernauts in a Custom made S10 enclosure(assuming from your name that is what you drive) All together so far it will run you about $1000.

Now for the amps: I would recomend something of competition quality such as 2 D100HC amps or even the Rockford bd1500. Other amps to consider would be 2 Phoenix Gold Tantrum 1200.1s or if you want to go cheap, a MTX 81000D or a JBL 1200.1.

H/U: This is where Kenwood comes in: I would recomend the Kenwood excelon KDC-X959

Component set: Just about any MB Quart set.

thnx alot guy, that points me in the right direction, but can you sugest any 12's that will hit over 150 db's?? this is the h\u i had in mind KDC-MPV7019 is it any good?? can those 15's fit behind my regular cab seats?? i would like 12's if possible but i want 150+ db's no acceptions.

yeah, i understand. i was saying you could hit over 150db with like less than $2500

Will not fit in a regular cab. i am on my never ending quest to hit over 150 in a Reg cab, but there is only one way that I have been able to figure so far. Cut the back wall out and connect the cab to the bed an put the 15s back there. This will be extra money, but will look REAL REAL good!!! both of these subs will get you where you want to go....

I compete with a guy who has one 15 inch juggernaut right behind his head, he has a rockford 800a2 for each Voice coil, this is all in a cavalier, 150+dbs...ported of course.

very very loud. he even competes in sq too he has focal front stage....
