So I recently decided to sell my Level 3 15" DC's and go bigger I was going to stay DC and go with M2's but I've used Fi before and I likee the Fi Q's so... I've decided to go that route.
I was going to run 2 Stock Fi Q's off 2 DC 1.2K's strapped @ 2 ohms. Giving them roughly 1400w each clean power. I havn't decided on 15's or 18's though. I have a MAX of 12ft^3 while keeping my seats. I was thinking 2 18's tuned to 6ft^3 each with seperate chambers tuned to 33hz with 15-16sq inches of port per ft^3 with the 18's im limited to port/subs up, with the 15's I'm basically able to do whatever.
But if 12ft^3 @ 33hz isnt good for the 18's I will step down to 15's to build and adequate box. I just want a good daily groundpounder and I don't want to spend a fortune. I like lows and air movement ;D SQ is a plus.
Basically my main question is will the 18's get louder in a enclosure like I've specified compared to 15's with more room etc? I can also invert and give myself an extra ft^3 if that's a viable option.
