Old REAR speakers that need to be replaced:

TS-D1602R - 6½" 2-Way Speaker | Pioneer Electronics USA

New REAR speakers replacing said speakers (already bought):

TS-A1685R - 6-1/2" 4-Way Speaker (6-3/4" Oversized Cone) | Pioneer Electronics USA

Old door speaker component system:

TS-D1720C - 6¾" Component Speaker Package | Pioneer Electronics USA

New door speakers I may replace them with:

P662 | 6-½" two-way Power Series® speakers | JBL US

Old amps I own:

Sub Amp:

PUNCH Amplifiers - P200-2 - Rockford Fosgate®

(Can't figure out what type of 12in kickers I have because I can't see the product model number)

Speaker Amp:

POWER Amplifiers - T400-4 - Rockford Fosgate®

Going to replace my 12in Subs and Sub Amp with this combination:

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_2064DW...19425&awat=pla&awnw=g&awcr=25048903825&awdv=c

Kicker 12CX1200.1 Mono subwoofer amplifier — 1200 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms at Crutchfield.com

All this is going in my 98 Nissan Maxima. Love my current system but my Rear speakers had a voice coil that went bad so I need to replace them and I'm in the mood to replace everything now, except perhaps my 4 channel speaker amp. Also going to add this Clarion Equalizer:Amazon.com: Clarion EQS746 1/2 DIN Graphic Equalizer with Built-in Crossover: Car Electronics

What do you guys think? I got into an argument with this guy on another board because he is trying to tell me that it's a waste to have REAR speakers. I told him my REARs made my system sound great, and now that they've basically blown, I can tell a huge difference in sound quality.

whether or not rear speakers should be in your system is totally based on user's personal preferences really. There's a lot of talk about cancellation and many other issues but for an average consumer, you dont really care or notice those little nuances. I would not buy from crutchfield, their prices are horrendous. I would keep your old components, beef up the installation, AKA treat and deaden your doors properly http://www.caraudio.com/forums/speakers/579338-how-do-i-get-bass-out-my-door-speakers.html (READ up on this thread especially keep_hope_alive's posts) and just replace your rears. The link for your sub choice isnt working. Do you just want pure sound quality out of your substage or are you trying to get a little bit louder and how much space are you going to sacrifice for it?
