Need opinions on 18's

I am shopping for new subs and am determined to go with 18's just to try something different, always wanted 18's. What I need opinions about is what would be the best sub. I am on somewhat of a budget so I am looking at the HDC3 18's, I have experience with the original HD3's and they were some awesome subs, so i figured I would give the new model a try. But I was wanting to know if there were any better 18's out that can get as loud and sound as good as the HDC3 without being that much more expensive. Budget is $400 a sub.

Teh Mach 5 SPL subs don't come in 18. And I don't think an IXL or MJ would keep up with a HDC318, because they weren't designed to. But a Mach 5 SPL 18 would be sweet //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

I don't know what you're going to get that can give you the output for the money that a AQ can.

Cascade Designs has an 18" coming out early next month that will handle some serious power.

I like DD so I would say a 3500 18, We have done one, got a 147 out of it.

I will be giving each 18 an AQ 2200.

for 500 each you could almost get RE XXX 18"

DC audio level 5 should be out, call them direct to get best prices is my guess. In direct replacement with RE MT they gained a few DB's. That neon is dusgusting, duct tape front window and all.

Kicker soloX can be had for those prices as well, 2200 is almost not enough per sub though.

The AQ is the best deal for the price. and is proven to get loud on 2200, take the money you save by going AQ and get those extra batteries you are gonna need.

I already have a HO alt and 3 Deka Intimidator G31's in the back. I just want some good subs!
