Need opinions/input if I should change subs

I'm currently running an Alpine 12" type S in a 1.2cF sealed enclosure running off a Alpine MRP-M450.

It's just a regular box, just sitting in my trunk taking up space, but now I got the opportunity to buy a custom enclosure to fit my car, the problem is that its for an 8" and the cF is less obviously.

So I'm thinking of switching what I have to this custom enclosure, and a ED 9Kv.2 Sub, will keep the same amp.

The enclosure should be between .3-.4cf, still waiting to hear from seller.

So what are the differences I'll hear between the two? What would you do? Input on the 9kv.2?
