I think you ordered the wrong subs.

I have the dual 2 ohm L7's

I have a 2 ohm load to my amp

You will have either 1 or 4 ohm load if you ordered the dual 4 ohm L7s

My opinion on the Subs - I have never really liked them.

I have had them for about a year.

It could be my box which is a slot ported setup.

They just do not seem as clean as the W6's that I had before.

I have used the same amp for both a JL 1000/1

I have them for sale now on ebay and am going to get something else.

Wrong grandam88 2 12"L7 4ohm subs bridged drops to 2 ohms, the amp puts out more power. If i had 1 4ohm sub that amp would be restricted to 550 watts rms. @hazegrey yes i peeped the FI website and they look great wish i could hear them..... but no sense in busting a fat nut over subs when i already spent the chips on the L7s. Does ur zx amp get hot quick? I read that's the case sometimes.

really???? your wiring methods are all off. if you have 2 d4 ohm woofers then your final ohm load will be 4 or 1 ohm not 2 ohm. if you have a single d4 woofer then yes the final impedance would be 2 ohms. in order for you to get your 2ohm load you need 2 d2 subs, that will give you a final impedance of 2ohms.

my guess is he thought he was ordering svc 4 subs, or he has never dealt with dvc subs before. i love being called out, then making the person feel like a d-bag.

Just redid my whole stereo! I recently put 2 12" Kicker L7 4ohm in a ported box in my Escalade, along with the new subs I ordered a Kicker IX1000.1 Amp. Has anyone seen or heard anything of this amp? I read it's the latest greatest from Kicker and I've always been a Fosgate amp fan myself (I have the old school 1000.1bd). The Amp is being shipped and I want to know what to expect! I assume it'll push the 2 L7's fine but if anyone has any input it would be appreciated! Thanks

dont expect much other than to be angry that you spent like 700 bucks on it.

and ur definitely a noob. you just bought a bunch of overpriced underperforming junk and you even ordered the wrong coil configuration. if you have an escalade you should be able to afford a decent system and our advice is free.

why does everyone waste money then come to us guys?

I would have went with a good 1200 or 1400 for the amp. If u have 2 dual 2 voice coil l7 s u can wire to 2 ohm if u have dual 4s on the coils u end up with a 1 ohm load. Either way 1000 on those should hit pretty hard.
