need new substage, how are lanzar optidrive subs?

i went to a local shop (that actually knows what there talking about) and we were talking about the DD subs and i told them im mainly interested in SPL but im somewhat on a budget... he said he could give me a 15" lanzar optidrive sub in a folded horn enclosure for about $350... is this a good deal?

the only place i could find that sells them is ebay store and they cost $250 http://cgi.ebay.com/Lanzar-OPTIDRIVE-3200-Watt-15-Subwoofer_W0QQitemZ160074862215QQcmdZViewItem ... but the shop said i will have a 6 month warrenty for anything that happens... i told them honistly i would be clipping the shit out of it and they said thats fine... so its basically the sub for 250 and a 100 snailshell... its built REAL nice too... it actually has a steel rod brace , double baffled so its flush mounted... and some thick *** like 10 gauge speaker wire coming out the bottom...

the problem is i would only have about 1000 rms @ 2ohms to play with and i dont think it would be enough for the opti, its rated @ 1600 ... what are some other nice subs? i went in there originally intending to buy some DD's but they are out of stock on the 1012's and wont have any till next week... but he said it would be about 300 for a pair but they offer no warrenty on them

no one on this forum has any expierence with the optidrives?

the guys at the carstereo forums were comparing it to the type r and some claimed it was better
