Need new subs

I am looking to buy new subs for my car, and I was looking at getting 2 Infinity 12.1D for like 140 US on ebay....I was wondering if anyone out there had any other ideas for about that same price. I am looking for a mix of SQ and SPL, I like SQ better, but a SPL sub couldn't hurt too much either. I will be powering the subs via JBL 600.1? Any good subs out there for about the same price hit harder and cleaner?

look at the alpine type R's.. those are pretty good subs for around 150 ish i believe

i second the alpine type r's very good subs and a little more sq than spl but they still get fairly loud

anyone know if I can get some cheap eDs or RE's? but I dunno about the alpine subs, I have read mixed reviews on them

You can get the 12" ED K for some where around 130 I think. I have a 12K from before they switched to the flat cone design and it is incredible for the price. IMO it handsdown beats the Type-R and the Perfect.

agreed, but the R's aren't all too bad; it's just that the k's rock.

Sounds like you have the same tastes in subs as I do Jmac, and I have also not heard the 12K.44s....but I don;t think that it is going to stop me from buying them, I heard so many good things about them and their support team that I'm confident that I won't be disappointed...no one in this forum thinks that poorly of them, so that has got to count for something.
