how cheap is cheap? Rainbow SLC's are good SQ speakers, although they are 230.

$20-$50 I would say is cheap.

what if I were to replace my 4x6 2 ohm 20watt max 40 watt speakers and replace them with something with 4 ohms and more wattage. would this do anything to the stock system?

for $20-$50, you are not going to find anything that much better than your stock factory speakers.
