Need new amp for 12w6?

Hi everybody.

Two days spend to put almost everything in my Solara.

I have sub jl audio 12w6 in my trunk and power with amp jl 1400D and i don't like it. It's play just like noiseee boom boom and inside i feel nothing, like you know vibration and other staff that you feel sub. So maybe just not enought power amp and need more power. sell it and buy jl 500/1???? also hu pioneer f90bt.

yeah i mean with the bass that the slash's produce....you don't even need a subwoofer

idk what that amp does. Cause you fail at posting its spec.

Also what box is it in? hows your electrical? Whats the settings on the amp and HU?

Just throw 1000 clean watts at it.

first, dont listen to thoes other guys. get your self a 15" funky pup and any amp that walmart carries. get it all installed at any local shop and if you live through it, you my friend will have all the deeeeebeezzzzzz and boom boom in the universe.

Actually you need to sell that pioneer headunit and get you a alpine 9886 or 9887. You will see a big difference in sound quality right there. Then get the 500/1 and put it on that w6, and hear music the way it's suppose to be heard. (Clean, deep, tight)

first, sell that amp and get something that does at least 750-1000 watts at 2 ohms. Wire the sub for 2 ohms.. Next, throw it into a ported box thats tuned to about 32 hertz. And make it about 2.5 cubes.

That will make a huge diffrence. Then set the amp gains correctly and hu setting correctly.

Make sure the wiring is proper.

You cant make anything out of what you have now, so you will need to do some work. And your HU is fine.
