need new amp: 1000+ watts

I have decided to purchase an amp NEW, i'm tired of being a cheap @ss.

I have given myself a $400 budget.

I would like a high quality amp, such as kicker, orion, mtx, etc.

Ohm doesn't matter, i will match the coil config of the sub to the amp.

Any other suggestions?

MD2.....or there were a bunch of tantrum 1200.1's in the classifieds.

Maybe get something bigger, with headroom for the future? Maybe find an Orion 2500 or Powerbass 3000 for $400 or less.
