Just as the title says. I want a high amp alt that's at least 220, and will be at at least 150 amps at 2500 rpms.
Car is an 02 Honda Civic, and will go 3-500 bucks. Maybe don't need 150 at idle, but need 150 around 2500 rpms. Needs to power 3 jl hd amps. Have an optima alreadythen you would need a 300 amp to get 150 at idle .what car and budget ?
get rid of the optima ,not that great of a battery .i could get you a tenney alt for prolly around your budget ,they are another good alt ,and they make one for your carCar is an 02 Honda Civic, and will go 3-500 bucks. Thanks, I will. btw, alt I have only puts out 99 at 3000. Have to go freaking to 4500 to get 150. Don't like itCheck out DC Power or Mechman their build quality is top notch and give out great output at idle
thats dependent on the alt and pulley thoThanks, I will. btw, alt I have only puts out 99 at 3000. Have to go freaking to 4500 to get 150. Don't like it
Thought optimas were supposed to be good. Kinetic? Optima has some years left, so won't ditch it yet............get rid of the optima ,not that great of a battery .i could get you a tenney alt for prolly around your budget ,they are another good alt ,and they make one for your car
xs power odyssey stinger c&d deka are all good battsThought optimas were supposed to be good. Kinetic? Optima has some years left, so won't ditch it yet............
All I know is it wont supply 3 amps continuous. It will if I keep volume moderate, but when I lean on volume hard, I need the rpms high, or amp, or 2 will cut outthats dependent on the alt and pulley tho
Optimas do have low cca. It was recommended. I went with it at the timeI agree with my lows get rid of the optima. I have had 2 yellow tops leak from the positive terminals. Installed an XS Power battery and it was night and day. It also seems that I gained cranking power to the engine.
I've had it for about 3 years, no probs thus farOptimas do have low cca. It was recommended. I went with it at the time
I will put those on a list............xs power odyssey stinger c&d deka are all good batts
