Need More Space In Trunk Have A 12w6v2

I Am About To Become A Father For The 2nd Time. So Now, I Def. Need The Trunkspace. I Have A 12w6v2 Right Now Running Off A Hifonics Brutus1206d 1200w Amp. I Was Wondering My Options In Subwoofers To Save Me Some Space In My Trunk.

The Specs:

2005 CHEVY IMPALA

12w6v2

Idk How Big The Box Is But Fairly Big Ported Single Box

Running Of A Hifonics Brutus1206d Amp

I Was Looking Into Maybe:

2 Or 1 13 Jl Tw5 Facing Each Other

12" Alpine Type R

10" Jl W7

2 10" W6v2

2 OR 1 12 KICKER CVR

2 10" KICKER CVR

1 10" OR 12" L7 OR L5

Or Just Keep My 12 W6v2 And Just Buy The Jl Grille For The Sub. LOL

JUST LET ME KNOW WHICH YOU THINK WILL SOUND THE BEST YET HIT HARD DOING IT.

i've owned in your highschhol days both the round solobarics and the 1st gen L7's and SQ wasnt that great with the l7's compared to the rounds Solo barics so as far as SQ i wouldnt go with the L7's unless you just want low end without much SQ. i have also owned a 12w6v2 and a 10w7 and the 12w6v2 is a hard to beat subs if your looking 4 SQ and low end. I only had about 600watts pushing it(off a v12 605 alpine) in a built to spec ported enclosure and i loved it but sold it because i need the money //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif a very versitile sub and most def in my top 3 subs(im not into the internet boner 7,000watts spl subs). i later got a 10w7 in a 2.8cu box tuned to 30hz which slammed and had great Sq but lacked the deepness of the 12w6v2 but kept up great for a single 10" and was very very accurate running off a 500/1. I have never owned a type r but have built over 15-20 boxes for various type R 10's and 12's and i think its a great sub for the $$$ its a good mix of the low end of the kicker and pretty decent SQ but when against the 12w6v2 IMO it cant touch it in musical reproduction/SQ but does a decent job for a $100 sub. I have no experience with the 13tw5 so i wont reply or give a "well i heard a car with it or my homeboys, freinds, courin has one reply", lol

i was thinkin of just keeping the w6 anyway. it slams great. btw reason im askin bout getting a grille is due to strollers, baby bags, etc. being in the trunk w. my sub lol. the grille would protect the sub. any other suggestions as far as subs? i really appreciate your thoughts & opinions hybrid90accord & kol

You could also just put the 12W6V2 in a sealed box, that would save you a little bit of space.

The W6v2 line of subs go in about the smallest box requirements there are. Not sure how you are going to do better. Go sealed or get a grill or a more erganomic box.

the 12w6v2 needs about 1.25 cuft sealed. you could allways go for a 10w6v2 whitch ported, only needs .75cuft and should be louder than a sealed 12w6v2.
