Need more power!!!

Every time I gain match it was weaker than strapped. If you got lots of rise. You need to add more wire lots more Rise can be caused by resistance and a large box also you'll need another alt to be running both amps that low

well i have another neg and pos run i can add and my voltage didnt drop below 13.7 yesterday after burps and demoing so ima try it with what i have and upgrade as needed

Your voltage didn't drop because you were only making 1,400watts. But you should be able add a good chunk more power before any eclectical upgrades should be needed. Only way to see is install and see where ur dropping to

yea thats why ima just add the amps and then go from there, i have my stock alt i can throw back on with a simple dual alt mod that can be done for my truck only costs like $35 to do. finally my 4.3l is doing something good for me lol

was that power soft clipped or completely clean signal? you really should get a clamp meter and oscope and see what is actually going on
on my real run at 37hz that i did 146 I think complete clean i set my gains conservativley but idk, it was stinky because the guy who did my first run was a complete idiot and told me to play thw wrong thing on the cd and i was going full tilt on a song with 20hz and my subs dont like playing that low

how did you set your gain? i guess those amps dont have a clip light, id probably set it with a -6 or -10db tone lol as long as you have a subw control to turn it down when songs recorded high play.

im wondering if you're not getting the power you need because it needs to be set higher? idk man im sure you've looked into it

Subs were overheated already from the fk up the other guy did to this setup during his first run with that 20hz heavy track. He would meter a lot higher if his subs werent cooking from playing 20hz full tilt.

For the record, at least he did a 140 at 20hz.

he should clamp it again to see what his actual power is imo itd be nice to know why it was so low, although i agree that playing 20hz like that didnt help. its a great score nonetheless

There's a whole checklist you have to go through when metering to get the best score. I'm pretty sure he had quite a bit left in him if he metered properly with a lot of tricks that can help your score by a lot.
