need more noise!

I've installed a solo baric s15d and a boss 1200 watt 2 channel amp. I bridged it the way the diagram for the amp says to, but I'm not getting all the drive that I think I should. It doesn't do bad, but I know that sub is supposed to pound a bit harder than I'm getting them to. I wanted to know if anyone could tell me why, is it because the amp isn't the best or what? Replace the Amp with something better. That boss 1200w amp is probably less then 400rms.

I was also wondering if anyone could tell me why I'm not picking up a lot of the higher end bass notes. It picks up the lows flawlessly, but the higher frequency notes don't have as much push. It's a sealed 1.5 cubic box by the way.

replace the amp,replace the prefab box if it is one im just guessing,and tell us how it sounds.

What kind of box would you recommend for this sub (specs, etc..)?

A ported box will make it louder in a much smaller frequency range.

kicker is known for killing the lows but not so much of an all around sq type of sub

Wouldn't putting that sub in a ported box take away from the high end of the bass? What about a dual bandpass box? I know it would end up taking a lot more space in my trunk though. What about adding a smaller sub to the mix? Does any body know how big the ported side of bandpass would have to be for that sub?

dude 1.5 cubes, i would do at least a 3 to 4 ported. oh and the boss amp...get rid of it while its new, spend a few more bucks and get something better.
