If you turn the gains down, you will still be able to get full power, but at a higher volume on the head unit.

U just gotta find some places, go around talk, see what there like. Westcoast Customs is probably your best bet for a high quality installation place that knows its shit lol. Also ask around

mr. bill, autosound 2000 has set-up disks, i don't know the number (101 or 102) but is called "my disk". search kazaa for that or 0dB reference tracks. if you sign up for IASCA i think you get a set-up & judging disk w/ the membership fee.

turning down the gains will not make the subs quieter because once set correctly you will be able to crank the volume knob higher without having to worry about disortion or a clipped signal possibly allowing the system to play louder!

dude u need to find a place that will set ur shit right, and also tun those FU@$ing subs around. Did i understand u have them firing into your car, u need to have them hitting off the end of ur trunk. Those W7 get loud and sound daamn good, need to get that shit straightened out.

just a little help before you change everything around, it sounds like you have your gains set wrong and you are clipping the signal not bottoming them out. Alpine decks go up to 35 on volume i believe, you should set the gains by the method on jl's site and this may fix some of your problems. Gain setting tutorial

I think you're right. It sounds like he's sending a distorted pre-amp signal back to the amp. Just my opinion.

All the cars they do for MTV are garbage even though they don't have much to work with. I can come up with better ideas than that.

As far as the high end cars they do well hell who couldn't make a already nice car look good. I'm not impressed by them one bit. Give me a hummer and 100 grand and my shit would look and sound better than all there sh**

Ur saying they dont do kool things to the cars? then ur trippin. they do some pretty daamn kool custom installs in those cars.

oh and yes the cars look hilarious after their done. but that doesnt matter, from what i saw they do amazing installs.
