no i was looking at the cdt cl-61pro with the 400xover and exige got me the upgraded set the cl-62cf with the tw25tweet and the 480over for the same price shipped as woofer wanted for the 61's

so yea and woofer doesnt allow returns on comp sets as well

not sure if anyone posted it but the dd w6.5's are good low frequency drivers with a fs of like 36 or something, and theyre supposed to be making a one up to that in the dda line i heard too....

im just saying, he probably got an email from a dealer, telling him how great the cdt's are, and being king ranch he's talkin up a product he knows little about. its not about the product, from what i understand cdt makes nice stuff, its about the good salesman talking up and selling his product. im done derailing the thread, good day.

I am not happy with the CDT HD M6's. Here is an old review I did on them. Not that I am an expert but IMO I feel in that price range there are better to be had.

build quality-The build quality of the mid is very good. Nice cast basket and push terminals I really liked these. They are a bit deep at 2.95" though. Best thing about these is looks.IMO

midbass-not the best but certainly not the worst. I expected a little more however they really needed an enclosure I feel to shine. They are very power hunger and 90w will not make them happy. When I bridged the ARC FD4150 on them they came alive. With more power they had decent response in this region but I felt a little on the muddy side. Not controlled really well. The FS according to CDT is 52hz. I crossed them crossed them over from 50hz to 120hz. At 50hz they bottomed out with any kind of volume. They provided the best balance between volume and mid-bass at 70hz. A little more time spent on install would yield some better results but I was not overly impressed with these. With some work I feel they could be crossed down to 60hz with good output.

impact-drums sounded ok but no really realistic. Just to muddy and do not have that really quick snap to them. They will provide some good impact with enough power but not great.

midrange-Very muddy. They just seem to color everything to much. Vocals are not really clear or life like. I have these crossed up to around 3k and they just seem to have to much break up that high. These really need to be LP at 200hz. I do not recommend these for a 2-way.

Value: 2

Build Quality: 7

Ease of Use: 4

Output Capability: 7

Conclusion:

I feel the M6 is a capable mid-bass only with enough power. They are way over priced. I would not buy these again even for mid-bass only duty.

The CDT would work if you are not overly critical about detial and accuracy.

These are a not cheap but would meet what you are looking for IMO.

I would look at the Hertz ML165, Dynaudio, HAT L6, ScanSpeak REV, Peerless SLS6.5

If you could fit an 8" it would open up some other options but generally requires a lot of work to get them to fit unless you are one of the lucky ones and own a CX-7.

well i aint sure about the stanard m6's i was suggesting the m6+ more of a midbass and you can cross at 60hz the m6 is best around 70hz
