If you're talking about Vietnam era stuff, it doesn't get better than Creedence Clearwater Revival. All of their albums are great, just go with Chronicle Volume 1. It's a greatest hits album that covers a good portion of the band's more popular songs...

I like. I have. gots alot more like them or better. but I find myself drifting towards black metal death metal, woodstock oldies alot more these days, because all the new seems identical. Classics remain classic.

Back in 2004, the record store at the local mall went out of business and I got to buy the CCR remastered discography for 90% off.
