Need Load/RMS help

Hello.

I have been using a Dual XPE2700 Series 400w amp and 2x12"s SVC (bought as a set).

I recently acquired (1) @ 10" Memphis MClass 10" sub 4ohm DVC 600w (250-300RMS) and I have properly installed the sub and my own auto-venting system (for cooling purposes). I have had no problems so far. I know a lot about circuitry and electrical, but my fault is loads, and my concern is overheating my amp.

I have the 10" sub bridged to my amp (8ohm load on amp). The amp handles (150RMS x 1 Chan @ 4 ohms (bridged)). I have read that bridging a (4ohm 300 RMS DVC sub) at an 8ohm load actually only runs at 150-200 RMS. If this is the case, then I should not have any problems. I need someone to confirm this. If it is not the case, will my amp overheat due to a more powerful sub?

Thanks

-James B.

Yes, it is wired correctly. And I don't mind the power loss because I have a 1.6L Sentra that is a Rattlecage... I also have the amp set to a very low gain, but pretty high bass boost; hoping its not trying to push itself too hard. I listen to hardcore metal, so I don't want a lot of gain from the bass guitar anyways. Just the drums.

The Kappa's have a high sensitivity rating of 93 db so the X802-5 would be fine. A good high sensitivity 8" sub in a properly sized box would fit...

Yup , the dsp should have input sections, it may have one for sub? Hu to dsp. Dsp to amps, amps to speakers. Probably help you to draw this all...

If you can find these in your area. Id recommend these for drop ins. They play from 40Htz on up. Sound very nice on amplified power for premium...
