NEED LEGAL HELP: civil complaint

few hundred bucks is a cheap lesson about who you hang with.

let it go, not worth the hassle.

but in the future if anyone reminds you of this guy, you know they are likely to do the same thing to you, say bye, and find different / better friends.

ha, its not quite that easy. see first, i didnt ever hang out with him, i was placed with him by my landlord. and second, its not a few hundred, its over $600...and that just covers the first half of the semester, i still have to file for the second half...

well i dont know what proper is, but i do know that all i got was a copy of the appeal from the defendant 12 days after he appealed it. it was postmarked 10 days after, but i didnt sign till 12 days after...either way, even if i have more time, im still fvcked cause i apparently need a fvckin lawyer

I do not know the local laws but I'm sure if you are "required" to have a lawyer, so is he. I do not think you need an attorney, but figure this out before you lose this case on a civil procedure issue. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

well im technically not required to have a lawyer. but then i need to write up some formal complaint by myself some specific way. and the place they told me to go to find out how to do that is total legal jargon thats fvckin impossible to understand, and from what i can tell it doesnt even say anything about what to do. so theyre fvcking me over, they know they are, but theyre not liable cause i "technically" dont need a lwayer. its fvcking bullshit

no, not a new complaint, a "complain in the appeal". thats what it says on the copy of the appeal. it says i need to file that

well does it state his complaint? What would change from your original complaint? Just copy and paste essentially what you complained about before.

thats just it, i dont know what to do at all. and when i ask the court they tell me to call a lawyer or read the pa rules of procedure. i did send a letter already briefly restating the caise, but thats not what they wanted...so i dont know how im supposed to find out what to do

go to the local court house and go to the clerk of the court, ask them questions and they well prolly show you how to write whatever it is you need to write.

what all did it say in his appeal? you got copies of everything he filed, what did it all say?
