NEED LEGAL HELP: civil complaint

im going ****ing nuts!!! ok so last semester i filed a complaint against my old douchebag roomate for not payin bills and stealing from me and other shit. well he didnt show up in court so i won by default. however, he appealed it with 2 days to spare. the court doesnt send me shit! i get a letter from douchebag 12 days after he appealed it. in the letter was a copy of the appeal. so i immediatley call the court and ask what to do, and why i didnt get a letter, and about the court date and shit. the lady tells me just to wait and it will come. so i wait a little over a week, then call them back cause it said something about i got 20 days to file some shit on the appeal. so then the lady tells me "oh, we dont deal with appeals" "thats the court of common pleas down on main street". WHAT THE FVCK!!!???//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif i just got royally screwed by the court. now i got 2 days to file this complaint. im calling lawyers left and right and talking to the court for hours. and after all that shit, NO ONE helped me. court told me to call lawyers, lawyers say they cant help. so im like fvck it, ill write them a letter so i at least sent them something. i do, and they send me a letter back saying "we cannot give you legal advice". so i call these dumbasses, and they tell me to get a lwayer or read the PA rules of procedure. so i call lawyers...hundreds of dollars, not worth it at all. i find the PA rules of procedure, read through it ALL and find NOTHING about a complaint to an appeal. closest thing i see is "revival of judgement". but on that form in big bold caps, it says "DO NOT FILL THIS OUT WITHOUT A LAWYER". so what the FVCK am i supposed to do?!?!?!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif im getting so royally fvcked here its not even funny. come on, i know one of you guys knows some law shit here. Yor best bet is to contact legal aid near you for real advice (I wouldnt trust anything here on something this important).

i HAVE comtacted lawyers near me. they want too much money. the original amount was only like $600, so it wouldnt be worth paying over $100 for legal help. thats why im so screwed

If you go through a legal aid service the first appointment is usually only around $20 or so for a half an hour with an attorney.

One appointment should be enough to help you figure out how you need to proceed on your own.

well no, considering im at school in bloomsburg, pa ha ha, but thanx. i actually already googled local lawyers and other larger firms.
as for beating his ***...last semester i changed the locks cause he owed me money. well at one point i had opened the door to talk to him and he tried to force his way in. him being 105lbs and me being 300lbs, i easily just pushed his *** to the floor. so he cried assault to the cops. but when the cops came he eventually dropped the charges. so, yeah, being his *** is outta the Q unless i good a good *** plan

whats legal aid? the court refered me to some legal firm for something sounding like that, but you had to "quilify" for services, and i didnt. would you be able to help me out with a link or number or something? im currently emailing whoever i can who matters and posting on legal forums, but so far i havent gotten any help

Legal aid is a referral service thats operated by the Bar Association in most every area of the country.

Its usually a small little office that has a receptionist that will listen to your legal problem then will arrainge a free 1/2 hour (sometimes 15-20 minutes) appointment with an attorney that handles that type of case for a referral fee of around $20.

Just talking with a qualified lawyer to see how to proceed is worth that money, even if you dont intend on using his/her service.

ha ha, i just searched bloomsburg, pa with that search...the only legal aid it came up with was north penn legal services...the company that said i wasnt qualified. i think my school may have a lawyer, im gonna look into that. and prolly stop down at north penn's office to talk in person cause i need to get answers

let it go, not worth the hassle.
