I found a 1988 crx si online for sale in great shape but, it has 200k on it. If I get my car sold next week should i consider it or is that just to many miles? This car would leave me some money left for a system (i know they are great for that) and/or minor repairs. The guy says it runs excellent and everything on the car works correctly. Any honda experts in here?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif I was wondering if i could put some new piston rings, springs, and the like and drive it if i had too, or should i just look elsewhere with my money (considering if car gets sold)? thanks:)

My 91 Civic had 348,000 miles before I put a new motor in it....how much is he asking for it?

10 (More) Reasons You're Not Rich

You care what your car looks like: A car is a means of transportation to get from one place to another, but many people don't view it that way. Instead, they consider it a reflection of themselves and spend money every two years or so to impress others instead of driving the car for its entire useful life and investing the money saved.

I have a '93 prelude and I love hondas...

As far as 200k goes, it can be okay, as long as they aren'tasking a arm and a leg for a old car like that.

You need to ask them when the last timing belt/water pump replacement was. If it was not within the last 70k miles, or they have no documentation on it, plan on replacing at least both of those, and if you do it yourself, while you are in there, you might as well replace the front seal and do a valve job....

If you have to get the timing belt/water pump done somewhere...you might as well add 500-700 dollars to the price tag of the car. Hopefully the have paperwork of when it was last done.

Honda only rates their timing belt's for 90,000 miles. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

awry i mean it's clean looking it's not got a custom paint job and all that stuff. He wants like $2200 and he is fairly close by. and I bet I could get him down a lil.
sorry but with 200k on the clock, that is way to much for that car. Unless you are in love with CRX's and this one is perfect cosmetically I would look around some more.

it is the best looking crx i have found. I mean i am still looking around but, i want to start a new system but get good gas mileage. If I sell my car I will be coming from a 1995 firebird formula with a lt1 v8 with cam,373gears,3500 stall converter,k&n bla bla bla, was lucky to get 13mpg city babying on it.

i thought about gettin a mini cooper and selling my TA, but then realized how shitty it would be downgrading a 300hp car for a 150 one lol. If u downgrade like that, youre gonna feel like the rex is lacking lol. If it were me id just save up the cash to buy something out right. Having a back up cars is always a good idea.

Their handling makes up for it. Its like driving a big gokart.

The older Civis and CRX are selling for around 3500 in my area, Cause of the great fuel millage.

2200 is fine for that car if the interior is clean.
