need ideas for massive 4th order bandpass...

basically, I'm trying to fit around 10cuft into a trunk.... lol...

I believe the trunk to be around 12cuft, but I'm wanting to make an enclosure that can be removed, without having to destroy it...

ofcourse, the problem is that it wont fit through the trunk opening...

now, with that panel at the back removed, I will also have some room above the fuel tank, if needed...

I'll draw up a diagram of one of my ideas, and see if anyone has any other suggestions...

Seal off your trunk and partition it down the middle. Subs go in partition, ports go from one side into cabin of car.

Have you though about removing the trunk lid and hinges, then drop the enclosure in from the top? Thats really the only way I can think of w/o having to build inside the trunk. I'm subscribing just incase this turns into a build thread.

Also, maybe port the enclosure through the rear deck.

port has to go through the rear deck... single 10inch port, or maybe 12inch, not sure what will fit...

this was the idea:

fibreglass spare tyre well, enclosure made in 3 pieces, so the bottom can be angled in to fit (thats the idea anyway) all three enclosures joined together, by screwing two baffel layers together...

it also means, that the top enclosure, can be made to go further into the car than the bottom, and extend over the fuel tank abit, to add some volume...

I'm trying to find some reasonably priced 12inch subs, that will suit a 4th order bandpass...
