Need Help

Alright I've tried trouble shooting this on my own, and I'm all out of ideas.

I have a sundown 1200d amp and two 12'' AQ sdc 2.5 stock headunit

About a month ago my subs would start going out at random times.

I'd lower the volume and they'd start up again.

Then they would go out and wouldn't start until I restarted my truck.

I did notice that the amp would go into protect, but after a few minutes it would come out.

And everything would work again. Now as of two weeks I get no sound from my subs.

And the amp isn't in protect mode. What I noticed was after I disconnected both cables from

the battery the amp/subs worked after I turned off the truck no more sound.

Now things I did.

Checked RCA's / switched RCA's

Checked the ground

Checked the power cables - they were loose at the battery and fuse ( fixed it )

Removed the subs from the box made sure connections were good ( they were)

Checked the LOC all working fine.

So does any one have an idea what the problem could be.

I've been using the stock HU with the amp and subs since June 09.

And I'm just know having a problem with it.

Check your grounds, switch your rca's, follow all runs front to rear to check for pinches, or even hook an ipod or something straight to the amp and see if it does the same thing (to rule out the deck)

Also check voltage as it shuts off. Checking the coils wouldn't be a bad idea either.

check the ohm load of the coils. check speaker wire resistance for anything other than dead short or something really low. plug in an MP3 player to the amp (at low volume) and see if it plays anything.
