Need Help!

I have a Pioneer radio approx 3 years old. When playing the CD player I used to get great volume between 20 to 25 on the volume knob.(It goes to at least 60). Now for whatever reason I have to turn it up to 30 to 35 to get the same volume. Everything is still powered up. What could be the possible reasons for this power decrease in volume? drop in voltage, maybe look at it with a DMM
