Need help with this amp

so today my friend gave this amp, he said it powers up but no sound. i havent tried it but im trying to find some info on it. the board itself is in great condition with no burnt traces or smells. he said it looks like its missing some of the small black boxes along the sides by where it says MEHSA thermal management system (P/N# IR640), but where it looks like they would be missing the solder points where they would connect to on the board look untouched so im thinking it came that way.

theres a number pc-3092-D on the board itself. on the top it just says power

Well....it's a rockford amp. Not sure of the model. If the solder pads look unused, it probably came that way. Probably will have to have a repair center take a look at it to find the actual problem with it.

Make sure to hook it up and try it first. Might have been hooked up wrong.

ya im gonna try it out tommorow, dont like workin on my car at my house. too many ghetto neighbors so im gonna hook it up at work tonight. all i can tell is its a 2ch and my guess is the rca inputs and im capable of soldering new ones on, even if i f it up it was free.

im thinkin p1000.2 or something around those lines for the model number.

if it is....you are missing a few. Looks like it should only be missing 1 on each side.

ya that looks like it, its hard to tell from my crappy camera pics but it really looks like the 3 holes on the board by each black thing that might be missing came that way, all 3 holes are still filled w solder and are very clean

Thanks for the help and thats a cool link, found out my alpine amp puts out 140x2 rms. might be a bit much for the polk coaxs that are rated at 70w

If you need help finding those parts, let me know all the numbers/markings off the other ones. I deal with 1000's of IC/component dealers on a daily basis.

Up in the twin cities? There is a show in Winona (40min east of Rochester) on Saturday....and one here in Roch coming up on 9/6. I won't be ready for the show this weekend, but will probably go and scope out the other systems.
