Been reading a ton on here and trying to figure out what the hell I'm gonna do for a stereo in my Chevelle project car. I was originally gonna stick with stock mounting, but that limits speaker selection. So I decided I can run a set of 6.5 passive comps in the kick panel and run a sub out back. I listen to all types of music and can spend about $600 total including amp. If I need to split it up I would do front stage first and sub/s later. I have a Alpine CDE-102 HU for now, until I build a carputer down the road.
I've been looking at:
Rainbow SLC Kick or CMX (pushing budget)
ID CTX65CS
BostonPro60
Some CDT's
Alpine PDX-2.150 for fronts
I have a single 12" in my truck now and it seems loud enough. What size sub do you think I need for the Chevelle? Single or dual?
