correct me if I am wrong guys, but can you not wire a single dvc coil rated at 4 ohms for a 4 ohm load?

that's what I thought. To tc, that amp is rated at 4 ohms and 4 ohm bridged. I am a little confused myself now. Why would it have the rated wattage for 4 ohms but then say it is 2 ohm to 8 ohm capable?

they're probably just not showing the 2ohm rating... but if its rated 4ohm bridged... its 2ohm stable stereo

Also, I'm looking at a HU like this JVC - 50W x 4 MOSFET Apple® iPod®-Ready In-Dash CD Deck with MP3 Playback - KDR520
I plan on air brushing a different color over the pink, but thats the type of HU I want.

Is that good enough for what I want to do?

From what I understand, I can use one sub and one amp.

Eghh...airbrush?...I'm a huge fan of JVC HU's and if money isn't an issue I'd go after the KD-A925BT (what I want) or KD-R900 or if you can find it, the KD-A815. All have changing color displays, dual USB's, 5 volt preamp, and 3 pairs of outputs.

you will need an amp wiring kit, a dash install kit for the head unit,if you havent already get some speaker wire as well and some spare fuses. good thing to keep a few spare ones incase one decides to give its last spark. also check with your local shop. if they are any like the ones here they do what they call trade-in's take both amps in and see if you can do a trade in on a amp that is more suitable for your subs to power both of them if you want them both. door speakers/tweeters- that depends on you. if you want them, get 'em if not then dont. other than that you should be good man. happy tuning!!
