need help with ideas on new subs

I am planning on dropping $170 or below on a 12". I was wondering which sub you guys would suggest and which amp do you think would be best for it.

I listen to rap mainly and i have a 2001 chevy malibu. I'm looking for a sub that has good sound quality with deep bass.

lol at dd's not having good sq just because idiots on forums spreading rumors

Its not because of "idiots on forums", its because if you have heard one, you would notice that they are very peaky. I've owned one....

they are only peaky if you listen to the ******* at DD's enclosure design desk. If you build a correct enclosure they play flat real easy.

DD also has won sq comps but then again so has kicker

I heard some DD2512 SCs with very good SQ AND they liked smaller boxes. That was a win

well then since i have an audioque sub, but its in a flarred port enclosure tuned to upper fourties its a SQ sub now?... fact, the aq hdc3a was designed for more SPL orientations, however, we still geared the box towards a daily box with the ability to still get loud. it sounds good for an AQ, but any of what i listed would beat it. My old RE SX i had sounded better in SQ terms.

yeah, any sub can be made to have any designation,

but where the facts flow, a DD1512 was directed towards more loud than clarity..

never said they didnt have SQ, but theres better SQ for the Price under what was listed.
