Need Help With HT Sub

Does anyone know how to stain and finish a HT box its made out of MDF

ive been searching around for about 2 hours and cant really find any good

articles im wanting to do a glossy black color if anyone could help me id appreciate it.

You can't really stain an mdf box. If you want to paint it a gloss black it is a multi-step process. You will need a few coats of primer (the mdf absorbs alot of paint). Then you will need mulitple coats of good gloss paint, sanded with extremely fine wet sandpaper inbetween the coats. It isn't a particularly difficult process, just time consuming.

i don't get how you guys find a HT amp big enough to power some of these subs
There are plenty of quality amps that will do the job, but if you are really serious you move into the pro audio realm. 1,000-4,000 watt amps are easy to find. I found my 3,400 watt pro amp for around $300 (used).
